Wow, the title is huge…but the definition of this new hair trend is too: TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Reverse Wash System!
I tried the System that consists in use the conditioner first and them apply the shampoo…do you think this works? Well, keep reading to see what happened to me!
First of all you need to know my hair type, so you can understand better my conclusion:
This is my hair in natural stage! – awful!! Long, dry, colored and highlighted! Very damaged! So I really need a lot of conditioning and treatment to have my hair soft and nice…this being said, just the thought to use a shampoo before the conditioner freaked me out!!
*my hair after a good treatment and of course a great blow dry in a salon!
The problem with a reverse system is the shampoo. Like we know shampoos are for cleaning, they leave the hair stiff (at least a hair like mine) and it’s impossible to even brush if you don’t use a conditioner. In fact, I prefer to use mask because most of conditioner are not enough to soften my hair.
Well, I was very curious about the new TREsemmé, so I bought the system and I tried, the way it says in the directions. By the way, the reason for the reverse system is to take away the weight that the conditioners leave in the hair.
FIRST STEP – THE CONDITIONER – REVIEW
I don’t wash my hair everyday, so when you are not use to shampoo first if feels like you are using a normal conditioner in a dirty hair. But surprisingly it felt good. The conditioner did its job…it is concentrated, so I didn’t need a lot, made my hair feel soft and nice to the touch. In fact, I felt my hair clean after using it! Like I said, I was not too worried about this product, my concern is to use the shampoo after it!
SECOND STEP – THE SHAMPOO
Well, I finally drop some shampoo on my hair, did some massage and guess what, my hair was not stiff neither heavy. It works to prevent the hair to weigh down after conditioning and it really does the job. If you have straight hair or very oily ones this my work wonders for you. In my case, I like the idea – even though takes a little time to get used to. The big PRO of this reverse system is the lightness of the hair, but I still need my leave-in and a bunch of other creams to keep my hair hydrate and soft.
A note about the volume. I think my hair was lighter and for some reason a little flat or more straight. I didn’t notice a lot of volume! Maybe with other products of this line I could get a more fluffy effect.
What do you think? Have you tried it?
